My name is Philamer.

I am a Hawai‘i-based photographer and storyteller with a creative background spanning 20 years in design, marketing, and visual communications. My photography is deeply rooted in the belief that stories—especially those grounded in culture, community, and lived experience—have the power to shift narratives and create lasting impact. With every image, I aim to capture people in their most authentic and powerful state, honoring not just how they look, but who they are and what they carry.

Born in Hilo to Ilocano immigrants and raised on the Leeward side of Oʻahu, my work is shaped by a deep connection to place, people, and purpose. Whether I'm capturing love stories, fashion, family, or everyday life, my photography is infused with responsibility to document truth with care and intention. Outside of my work, she can be found sailing on waʻa, raising her ocean loving son, connecting keiki to the kai, or practicing hula—always grounded in the ʻāina and culture that raised me.
